MOSTRA SU AUGUSTO RODIN / RODIN EXHIBITHION

Il Bacio e Il pensatore sono due tra le sculture più celebri di tutti i tempi, presenti nell'immaginario di tutti quanti noi. Auguste Rodin il loro autore, colui che è stato definito “lo scultore dell'impressionismo”. Non a caso è fondamentale il suo rapporto con Monet, che sfociò nella vasta mostra parigina in comune dell'estate 1889, nella galleria di Georges Petit. Il grande maestro francese ha segnato la storia della disciplina, ancor di più dopo il viaggio in Italia, non ancora trentenne, che lo mise sulle tracce soprattutto di Michelangelo, oltre che di Donatello e Bernini. 

Ebbene, proprio a Rodin è dedicata la nuova, importante mostra di Linea d'ombra, che così si affiancherà per un mese e mezzo a quella su Van Gogh da poco apertasi in Basilica Palladiana a Vicenza. La mostra Rodin si svolgerà nel Museo di Santa Caterina a Treviso, dal 24 febbraio al 3 giugno 2018. L'esposizione destinata al sublime scultore francese inaugurerà una nuova, ampia sala all'interno del complesso museale trevigiano. Sala che ospiterà le sculture di maggior formato tra le 50 che giungeranno da Parigi, unitamente alle 30 opere su carta.

Kiss and Thinker are two of the most famous sculptures of all time, present in the imagination of all. Auguste Rodin the author, the one who has been called “the sculptor of the Impressionism“. It is no coincidence that his relationship with Monet was paramount, which led to the great Parisian joint exhibition of the summer of 1889, in Georges Petit's gallery. The great French master marked the story of discipline, even more after his trip to Italy, not yet thirty years old, which put him on the traces of Michelangelo, as well as Donatello and Bernini.

Well, to Rodin is dedicated the new, important “ Linea d'Ombra”  exhibition, which will coincide for a month and a half with that of Van Gogh recently inaugurated with such success in the Basilica Palladian in Vicenza. The Rodin exhibition will take place in the Santa Caterina Museum in Treviso from 24 February to 3 June 2018.  The exhibition dedicated for the sublime French sculptor will inaugurate a new, large hall within the Treviso museum complex. This room will host the largest sculptures among the 50 that will arrive from Paris, together with 30 works on paper.
