Venice Carnival Saturday 11th February until Wednesday 21st March 2012

The Theme of this year's ‘Carnevale di Venezia' is La Vita e Teatro. Tutti in Maschera.

In other words: “Life is a theatre. It's time to get masked“, and it refers to Venice being the capital of European Theater. 

The theatre will be brought out to the streets and to the people. 

Everywhere there will be street theatre performances, scenographic en plein air events, gatherings of people in costumes, costume parades, processions, performances by artists, music and dancing in the piazzas, children's activities and a lot more attractions. 

Get ready to put on your masks and enter the stage of the world's most joyful theatre!
